The Marchildon family has been involved in the shoe industry for more than a century. Their passion for their trade translates into a constant need to improve their field, which is why research has always been among their priorities. Backed by more than 45 years of research,
Pierre Marchildon has succeeded in developing and introducing a unique technique that allows us to mould the disabled foot in its natural position, relieving all of the unwanted pressure points.
Our laboratory is well known for its research in orthoses, and was mandated to outfit diabetic patients with foot ulcers within the context of a study that was conducted at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montréal.
As a result of this research, a customized moulded orthosis was developed, exhibiting a cure rate of 76%, as compared to the national and international cure rates of 40% to 50%.
